A Dangerous Awakening: Writing My YA Fantasy Novella Angel Touched

There’s something electric about a story that takes you by surprise — even when you’re the one writing it. When I sat down to begin drafting Angel Touched, a short standalone in the Jack Mac Paidin Universe, I thought it would be a quick, hopeful tale about recovery.

But somewhere between the first chapter and today, the characters had other plans.

This YA fantasy novella has grown into something darker — a supernatural awakening story laced with temptation, hidden magic, and the dangerous pull of destiny.

And honestly? I couldn’t be more excited.
