It's Almost May

Can you believe it? The cold winter months are almost a thing of the past. Here in NE, Texas, we are still experiencing some pretty awesome lightning and thunderstorms, which Jeff and I LOVE! But I'm looking forward to more consistently sunny days and BIG, blue Texas skies! We have had lots of rain lately, so I told Jeff that we’d better see a lot of beautiful blooms come next month!

Homestead Update

That rain is keeping things wet and muddy out at our new homestead. We're anxious to get back to work building our new house. That project has been on hold over the rainy winter months. But the building site on our 2-acre parcel has been cleared of trees and leveled, ready and waiting for the cement pad to be laid. I hope to be sending you photo updates in the next few months. But here’s one view from the last time we were out there…

Writing Progress

EXCITING NEWS! I have TWO books, plus an audiobook, publishing next month! The audiobook version of The Golden Telescope - Book One in my Jack and the Magic Hat Maker series is a project I've been working on with my narrator, Nikki Jay, for the past couple of months. And now IT'S FINISHED! We're just waiting for the finalized cover art and then approval from Audible before it will be available for purchase. OMG, y'all! I'm so excited! I can hardly contain myself! Nikki is from the UK and has an amazing voice with incredibly diverse vocal abilities. She has performed each character with their own unique accent and personality. You are going to LOVE this audiobook version! I'll send you the purchase link on Amazon as soon as it's available. But here is the temporary cover, for now, to whet your appetite! This is the actual cover, but Nikki’s name is being edited to replace my previous narrator’s name. The final version will remove the solid color box behind her name.

The First Book I’m Publishing Next Month

Of the two new books I'm publishing, the first one may surprise you. It's a diet and nutrition book called JOB ONE: Stay Out of the Hospital. You may know of my background as a trained health coach and the publisher of an online magazine for the raw foods community. This book plays on that four years of experience, plus loads more since, offering tips and practical ways to help prevent illness and disease or even regain your health by adjusting your diet. The Second Book I’m Publishing Next Month

Is, you guessed it, Book Four in my Jack and the Magic Hat Maker series: The Risky Reunion. I know, I know! I’ve been sitting on this one for a while. Promising to finish it. And I know there are those of you avid fans of the series who have been waiting patiently for me to finish it. Truthfully, the move really did throw a monkey wrench in my author’s mindset. Featured Indie Author

In closing, I’ve decided to start promoting other self-published or indie authors. Publishing and marketing your work as an independent novelist can be very challenging.
