Burning Farrah

I'll admit it...I was a Charlie's Angels fan

Ok, this really dates me! But if you grew up in the United States in the 1970s, you couldn’t have escaped the HUGE impact the weekly tv series Charlie’s Angels had on pop culture.

And more than any of the other actresses playing the part of Angels, Farrah Fawcett as Jill Munroe captivated the youth of the day.

We all know THE iconic poster.

It was everywhere.

And I think we can all see why, lol!

But as a 14-year-old teenage girl in 1976…a girl who aspired to become a fashion model…I was fascinated by Farrah’s beauty.

I first cut my own hair when, after reading that, she established her famous look by bending over at the waist and chopping hers straight across, I did the same thing.

She was a real beauty!

So, when thinking about who I wanted as my next Just For Fun pyrography subject, I thought of Farrah.

But I decided not to go for the famous poster. Instead, I chose a more ‘toned down’ version of her famous look.

I may still burn my own version of that poster every teen boy I knew of had plastered on their bedroom wall…we’ll see.

For now, this is a video depiction of my process burning a portrait.

I’ll post an update once I feel she’s finished.
