✨ Friday Update from Tracy
Hello, friends!
I can hardly believe we’re already coming up on one year in our new house. We’ve been pouring energy into home improvements to really make the place our own, and it’s starting to feel like us. Between patio projects, flower beds, a new fence, and little touches here and there, every week the space gets cozier and more magical.
But of course, I’ve also been crazy busy with my writing, publishing, and business adventures. Here’s what’s been happening lately:
📚 Writing & Publishing
Most of my afternoons are devoted to the author side of my world. Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been diving deep into:
- Story & Character Development – building out Eira’s epic arc in my Viking romantasy series Throne of Runes. Torvik, the Scorched Heir, has been taking shape too, and the world-building is becoming incredibly rich with Norse-inspired lore, rune magic, and political intrigue.
- Book Marketing & Publishing Strategy – polishing the relaunch plan for my middle-grade fantasy series (Jack Mac Paidin), preparing for my upcoming YA novella Angel Touched, and laying groundwork for the ambitious 6–8 book publishing schedule we’ve mapped out through 2026.
- Client Promotions – continuing to spotlight and promote indie authors over at self-publishedauthor.com. It’s always a joy to shine a light on other creatives.
🌐 Website Updates
I’ve been steadily refining both of my main websites:
- TracyPartridgeJohnson.com – my lifestyle hub where I share everything from writing updates to recipes and creative projects. Recently I’ve been focusing on improving the look and feel of the homepage while keeping that whimsical, magical vibe.
- Self-PublishedAuthor.com – now featuring a more streamlined approach to showcasing indie author promotions. It’s becoming a solid resource for writers who want visibility and readers who want fresh voices.
🎨 Creative Growth
Another big piece of my world lately has been honing my skills in AI art generation. I’ve been experimenting with cinematic character portraits, magical landscapes, and branded visuals that tie into my books and websites. It’s been such a fun (and sometimes challenging!) creative stretch. The results are making their way into cover concepts, social media teasers, and even header images for my sites.
💄 Avon Adventures
And yes—my Avon business is back in the spotlight! Books are definitely my long-game, “retirement strategy,” but Avon is right now income. With order payments depositing into my account within three business days, it’s worth showing some love. Plus, I’ve been enjoying sharing skincare, fragrance, and wellness tips with a focus on beauty for women 40+. It feels like another fun extension of my brand. 👶 Family News
On the personal side—we’re overjoyed to announce that we’re expecting another grandbaby in October! 🎉 None of us saw this coming, since we thought the grandbaby chapter was closed, but life had other plans. The best part? This sweet little one will be born to my daughter and son-in-law who live close by. We’re thrilled to welcome another bundle of joy to the family.
