Dark Awakening in the Demon Realm: Book One in the Demon Realm Trilogy

I'm writing a spin-off trilogy set in my Jack Mac Paidin Fantasy Universe, but with a twist: these books are written from a first-person POV (Point Of View) and are a little edgier than the Middle-Grade genre you're familiar with.

This new Demon Realm Trilogy is written in a YA (Young Adult) genre because I've wanted to explore more of the dark vs. light energies involved in this world. Writing for kids under age 13 inhibits my ability to fully immerse myself in the character development needed for some of the evil personas.

Who will you recognize in this new trilogy? The manuscript is still in development, so I'm unsure who might appear. But so far, I can tell you that Valdis, vampire queen of the demons of Blarjord, is a central figure. And Ethan also plays a primary role. But we have a brand new protagonist: Celeste Hulder. The story is written from her perspective and is about how she fits into the Mac Paidin world.

It is also important to note which characters do not appear in this trilogy. Jack, Bart, and Bill are glaringly absent from these books. Though Lydia might show up since she was born in Blarjord, and Valdis is her grandmother. Edward and Arthur may or may not play roles. I'm not sure yet. The story is still evolving.
