Spring Refresh and Inspiration
The Star shows up on a spring Monday, and honestly? That's perfect timing.
This weekend, I gave my Etsy shop a little spring refresh — Tracy's Cozy Kitchen is also now...The Cozy Kitchen Apothecary. I wanted to bring it in line with my recently published herbal remedy guide, The Natural Healing Handbook for Home Remedies.
I also spent some time working on a line of healing herbal tea blends that I’ll be offering soon, and honestly, it’s the project that’s been making me happiest lately. It reminds me of my days building Brown Paper Coffee Company, when I curated and hand-packaged a line of loose herbal teas, in addition to the whole bean coffees, gourmet hot cocoas, biscotti, and chocolate-covered espresso beans included in my product line. There’s something beautiful about holding a jar of gently dried herbs and wondering what they might do for someone who really needs their healing properties. More on that soon.
And then this morning, I sat down to pull a card for our Monday Oracle. And this is what came up:
The Star.

Of course it was...
I’ve always loved this card. She’s one of my favorites in the whole deck — and I think it’s because she doesn’t boldly announce herself. She isn't loud or dramatic. After all the intensity of The Tower before her, The Star just... appears. Quietly. Gentle but attentive.
A woman kneeling at the edge of a still pool, two vessels in her hands, pouring — one into the water, one onto the earth. Stars are shining everywhere above her. She isn't performing. She's not explaining herself. She is just observing, steadily, in the dark.
That image gets me every time.
She’s the card that shows up after everything feels like it has broken open — after you’ve been through upheaval — and she says, quietly, It's okay. Now we heal.
Not in a dramatic way. Not with a big announcement or a plan of action. She simply offers the slow, steady work of putting good things back in order. She encourages tending to yourself and to the world around you, in whatever small ways you can. Even when you’re tired. Especially when you’re tired.
And with the arrival of spring, that feels important. The whole world is doing this exact thing right now — slowly, stubbornly pushing new shoots back up through the surface. Not because it’s easy. Because that’s just what living things do when the light comes back.
I think that’s the real gift of The Star. Not that everything is magically okay. But that something in you stubbornly keeps going anyway. Keeps pouring. Keeps tending. Keeps trusting that the living waters are going to keep on flowing, even when you can’t see their final destination.
If you’ve been living through a hard stretch — and I know a lot of us have — this card is for you this week. The message of The Star is to feel hopeful. Just keep showing up. That’s enough...for now.
YOUR QUESTION FOR THE WEEK
What would it feel like to renew yourself this week the way spring brings renewal to the earth — slowly, quietly, without apology?
Ponder that thought over your morning coffee. Or a healing cup of herbal tea...
✨ A LITTLE SPARKLE FROM MY CORNER OF THE WORLD
Come take a peek at what I'm doing with my Etsy shop when you get a chance.
My herbal tea blends are coming along beautifully and will be available soon. Each one is being made with a specific kind of healing in mind — the kind you make a cup of when you need to feel restored, or gently awakened. I can’t wait to share them with you. 🍵
With cards and candlelight,
