Valdis - Queen of the Demons
What Do We Know About Her?
Queen Valdis is first introduced into the Jack Mac Paidin Universe in Book Three: The Magical Legacy.
If you haven't read that book in the series yet, I'll try not to include too many spoilers in this post. That's going to be challenging, lol! But here are a few little tidbits to whet your appetite -
- Valdis is a vampire who reigns over a demon realm called Blarjord on the planet Dyrrheim.
- She was once a human and the mother of one of our important characters in the storyline.
- Hers is a desert realm located in the southern part of Dyrrheim. It is separated from the north by a majestic and imposing mountain range called the Ice Blade Mountains. In the north lies the angelic realm known as Vittajord.
- Valdis reigns over a diverse population of powerful demon beings. Races include: orcs, trolls, satyrs, and others.
- Dyrrheim is connected to Earth through a handful of magical gateways or portals. These doors to the other world can only be accessed by beings with magical abilities, are virtually unknown to most residents of both planets, and access may be blocked by protection spells.
- Queen Valdis possesses an enormous and powerful dragon, Malgore, who resides in a cave beneath her mountain fortress, Dod Festnig.
- She plays an important and ongoing role across several books in my Jack Mac Paidin series. Her influence increases significantly as Jack, Ethan, and Sadie grow older and their powers intensify.
